​From the President: 

Train season is in full swing.  The September meet was well attended and some beautiful standard gauge trains were keeping the members entertained.

Be sure to read Rick’s Ramblings for the low down on all of the upcoming train shows.  We will be discussing the November Open meet in the next newsletter so be sure to check it out.

I was able to attend the TCMRM show at the state fair for the last 20 minutes or so.   I made a quick loop of the building and chatted with many of our own members that were packing up for the day.  I was able to pick up a beautiful KMT F-7 in Santa Fe blue and yellow.  It is an amazing piece and looks great on my RailRax next to my other AMT/KMT/Kusan pieces.   I don’t have many of those pieces but I sure like the F-7’s from 1950’s.  The most difficult search for my collection was locating the AMT Chicago and Northwestern Passenger car set.  I acquired them locally over a couple of years from Dale Ferguson and Bill Kane.  It is a great looking set and was worth the wait.  I believe there is a baggage that is still out there somewhere and I hope to find it someday.

There will be a Board of Directors meeting after the October meet in the back of the room.  All interested members are welcome to join us.
